Saddleworld Bowral Regional Dressage Championships

There is nothing like springtime in the Southern Highlands.  The sun was shining, the air still crisp and Bowral Dressage Club was proud to be a part of Dressage NSW’s Regional Dressage Festival, hosting the Saddleworld Bowral Regional Championships on September 28th and 29th.  This was the first time in over a decade that the championship had run over two days and it was largely due to the support of Equestrian NSW, Dressage NSW and major sponsor Saddleworld Bowral.

Close to one hundred riders descended on Bong Bong Racecourse, competing in 276 tests.  Classes were offered from Preparatory to Grand Prix with junior/young rider, amateur owner rider, pony and open categories all well represented.  Riders came from as far afield as Tamworth, Forbes and the Central Coast.  We were honoured to have a fantastic line up of judges including FEI 5* dressage judge Mary Seefried, who travelled down from Brisbane to be part of the event.

Competitions like these cannot run without the generosity and support of our sponsors both from the local and wider equestrian community.  Bowral Dressage Club would like to acknowledge their support in making the event such a success, not to mention our many volunteers and the hard working committee.  Looking forward to seeing you all again in 2020!!!

September Championships

Our September 30 Championships were a great day, all of which was made possible by our wonderful sponsors, volunteers, judges and of course our riders and their support crew. The BDC committee would like to thank all of you who contributed to a fantastic day of dressage. The sun was even shining!! A special thank you to our major sponsor Saddleworld Nowra who provided us with some beautiful prizes on the day including rugs for every class.
